After over a year of restricted travel, and spending way more time inside than anyone would like due this ghastly pandemic, lots of people are starting to scurry back to their travel agents to book a lovely get away in the sun.

Now, you probably don’t need us to tell you, but for the LGBTQ+ community, some places better than others, so we have gone to liberty of compiling a list for you.

We have made an effort to include all sorts of places that will tickle the pickle of all kinds of folk, so no matter who you are or what you like to do at the weekends, there should be something on this list for you.

New Zealand (especially Wellington or Auckland)

These amazing cities in the land of the long white cloud are fun, progressive, and best of all, are ruled by queen of the pandemic herself, Jacinda Arden.

With plenty to do in this country, you can get your heart racing with bungee jumps or you can wind down in some volcanic hot springs.

Canada, Toronto

Often cast aside as a tourist destination, this wonderful Canadian city has everything you need to enjoy a holiday abroad exploring a new place. Filled to the brim with culture, fun things to do and exciting places to visit, this city should be at the top of your list to visit.

Not only this, but the people of Toronto are renowned for loving us gays! And you know us, we love to go where the love is!

Gran Canaria

If for some reason you have been living under a rock, and you didn’t know that Gran Canaria is the mecca of LGBTQ holiday destinations, then now you do.

With an outrageous variety of fun in the sun to offer, you’ll find exactly what you need to enjoy a gay-friendly holiday with loved ones on this lovely Island.

France, Nice (or, Paris, or literally anywhere)

Oh, we love the French! The food, the wine, the culture, not to mention the men! The reason we picked Nice, is because it has all of the benefits of Paris, whilst still being right by a gorgeous coastline. Truly, it offers a little spice for everyone’s pallet.

San Francisco

Absolutely filled with friendly people, bustling nightlife, cultural monuments and creativity, San Francisco is one of our top picks for places to visit in the US. With all kinds of accommodation to choose from, trips to see the golden gate bridge, fisherman’s wharf and Alcatraz, you wouldn’t regret choosing this spot for your next holiday destination.

Spain, Sitges

This coastal paradise probably has a reputation for being the gay capital of Spain, and for very good reason.

Members of the LGBTQ community swarm this scene every year to take refuge from the rat race with their fellow gays.

What’s more, their gay pride falls in June, a popular holiday month for the brits, so if you plan far enough in advance you could enjoy a tropical pride in the sunshine!
